Fender Jimmy Page Signature Series Telecaster
Spread the love

Fender is set to release in 2019 two Jimmy Page signature series Telecasters based on his teles that were used on Led Zeppelin’s first album and extensively on next two.
And of course his guitar with the YardBirds.

Two models will be made.
One will be the earlier version with mirrors and the other with the dragon painted on the body.
Each model will be made in a standard and custom shop version.
Only 50 of each “dragon” and “mirror” Fender Custom Shop models will be made with Page’s handwritten signature on each headstock and his hand-painted flourishes on dragon models.
The limited edition Custom Shop versions are masterbuilt by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Paul Waller.

Jimmy Page said of the project:
“Because of the heritage of this guitar that it comes through Jeff and it goes through the whole of the first album, I thought it would be really interesting to see a Fender would be interested to do it.
I wanted to recreate the original guitar so that it would travel beyond what it originally was.
Oh my goodness gracious it’s so absolutely as it is as it should be was, they really got it 110% right.”

What many do not know is that the Stairway To Heaven solo was also recorded with a Tele.

These guitars are expected to be officially released in January 2019
