Tonight is the last night for a chance to see blues guitar player Kenny
Wayne Sheperd in Sydney at the Enmore Theatre.
His guitar of choice is a 1961 Fender Stratocaster that he first seen and played in Guitar Centre Hollywood when he was 16.
He played and loved it, but like many of us was a little outside the budget so he did not buy out.
It was one of those guitar experiences that left him thinking about that guitar, how it played, the tone and how there was something special about it.
About a year later after a showcase gig in Hollywood, Kenny went down to Guitar Centre to look at guitars (as we all go around looking at guitar stores wherever we are) and seen the same Strat hanging on the wall.
Same feel , same tone, same something special.
But this time even though out of his budget, managed to convince his A&R guy and lawyer to lend him the money determined not to leave the store without it.
And the rest is history as it’s his main guitar.
