The last year or so has brought many big changes to the Australian music instruments products distribution and wholesale, some of which are listed below.
Jands no longer is the distributor of JBL speakers, after some decades. CMI is the new importer.
Gibson, Epiphone and Orange amplifiers are no longer being imported by AMI (in receivership) and is now with Australis Music who also imports Ibanez guitars.
Gator cases have also been picked up by Australis.
Fender Australia has been bought out by Fender USA and seems to be stabilizing after some new warehouse issues.
QSC has appointed Jands a second distributor in Australia alongside Technical Audio Group. Interesting given how relatively small the local market is.
Jands also became distributor for EV electronics, another brand that seemed to no change forever.
ProMusic Australia no distributes NU-X and Hagstrom guitars.
Amber Technology now brings in Mackie, Ampeg and Framus guitars in Australia.
Lace Sensors are distributed in Australia through EGM Distribution.
Australia is one of the most difficult OECD countries for the musical instruments and that does’nt seem to be changing any time soon.
